TakeMail is now providing FREE POP/SMTP access to all registered users.
What is POP, and how do I use it?
POP, or Post Office Protocol, lets you download messages from TakeMail's
servers onto your computer so you can access your mail with a program like Microsoft Outlook Express or
Netscape Mail, even when you aren't connected to the Internet.
POP access is free for all TakeMail users and we have no plans to charge for it in the
future.
How to configure mail client?
1. Create a new mail account.
2. Choose POP3 as your server type.
3. Provide the
following information:
User
Information: - Your full
name - Your full email
address
Server
Information: - Incomming Mail Server
(POP3): mx.takemail.com - Outgoing Mail
Server (SMTP):
mx.takemail.com
Login
Information: - Username: your full
email address - Password: enter your TakeMail
password
4. In Outgoing Server Settings choose, that outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication and use the same settings as incoming mail server.
5. Check and save your account
settings.
Attention! Even if you use POP access regularly,
you must log in to TakeMail through browser at least one time within 45 days for your account not to be
deleted cause of inactivity reason.
